College of Engineering Celebrates Inventors with Awarded Patents March 7, 2022 Twenty inventors were recognized for their hard work, creativity and courage at the first annual College of Engineering Patent Medallion Luncheon in early March. The engineers received medallions to commemorate their patented inventions — which ranged from a quantum-analogue computer to a cancer detection device to a technique to improve hypersonic flight. Howl for Good Dog Breath! UArizona Startup Wins Purina Pet Care Innovation Prize Jan. 26, 2022 UArizona startup uPetsia has been named as one of five winners of the 2022 annual prize competition. Researchers pilot 'itty bitty' device for earlier ovarian cancer detection Jan. 18, 2022 Biomedical engineering professor and BIO5 Institute Director Jennifer Barton has spent nearly a decade developing a falloposcope to detect ovarian cancer in its early stages.
