Aileen Dingus

Marketing and Events Coordinator, NSF I-Corps Site Program Manager

A Pennsylvania native, and recent Tucson resident, Aileen has an extensive background in both the private sector and in higher education. She held several positions at the University of Kansas, including Assistant to the Director of the Higuchi Bioscience Center, where she worked with scientists, students, professors and visiting lecturers from a diverse set of fields. She was Program Coordinator for KU Recycling, supervising a team of students and full-time employees who collected and processed over 80,000 lbs. of material each month. Finally, she moved to Facilities Zone Administration, and wrangled the teams that maintained all buildings on campus. Off-campus, Aileen served as Assistant to the President of Callahan Creek Marketing Agency, Acting Executive Assistant to the President of DEVENEY Communications, and most recently Administrative Assistant to the President of Mathes Brierre Architects in New Orleans, LA. While Marketing Assistant for Securitron Magnalock Corporation, Aileen was also Assistant to the North American Champion for the ASSA ABLOY Racing Team in the Volvo Ocean Race, working with the team in both Miami and in Baltimore. Outside of work, Aileen enjoys cooking and crafting, and is an “at large” member of the NOLA Chorus Girls.
