10 out of the first cohort of 30 Women of Impact named by UArizona Research, Innovation and Impact are inventors actively working to bring their work to the world through commercial pathways.

Through the program, entrepreneurs connected with the university launching a new venture can get free mentorship from experienced, trained, vetted mentors to help them develop successful startup strategies.

University of Arizona researchers have developed a new class of drugs that is able to cross the blood-brain barrier and could be used to treat degenerative neurological diseases and conditions. The university has licensed these new drug designs to startup Teleport Pharmaceuticals.

On June 14 and 15, 2022, the National Academy of Inventors gathered for its 11th annual meeting at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, Arizona. The event included ceremonies honoring the newest class of NAI Senior Members and Fellows, which included five UArizona inventors.
