Mitch received his undergraduate from SUNY Binghamton and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. Post-graduation, he worked on the bench in both research and clinical labs, and then worked in the pharmaceutical industry both as in-house and outside counsel, handling licensing matters as well as patent drafting and prosecution. Early on, he worked as a patent attorney and patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the pharmaceutical arts. As a patent attorney and consultant, he focused on developing IP strategies, portfolio building, licensing, patent preparation and prosecution, patent searching, and trademark filings. He began his licensing career at Merck & Co., Inc., coordinating transactions such as license agreements. Mitch is a registered patent attorney and a member of the New York State Bar and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Most recently, he served as a private consultant working with boutique firms and startup businesses to build their IP portfolios.
