Eleanor Burgess

Eleanor “Ellie” Burgess leads investor engagement on the Venture Growth team. She coordinates Tech Launch Arizona's Wildcat Investor Network (WIN) and supports the Wildcat Seed Fund through connecting founders to capital, developing systems to grow our venture ecosystem, and building a community of investors to help invest in the next generation of Wildcat startups.

Ellie is an entrepreneur, researcher and innovation professional with experience spanning startups, healthcare, technology and human-centered design. A Tucson native, Ellie has founded two technology startups, including Credentially, a clinical credentialing company that participated in the Techstars London Accelerator. 

Prior to joining Tech Launch Arizona, Ellie worked at Elevance Health, formerly Anthem, where she led clinical AI and human-centered design initiatives, and at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she led service design efforts focused on improving public health data systems and workflows. She also brings extensive experience building professional communities and organizing events connecting leaders across industry, academia, government and healthcare. 

She holds an MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship from University College London, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar, and a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from Northwestern University, with a research background in clinical AI, digital health, informatics and healthcare innovation.
