Bart Gray

Bart Gray has extensive executive experience in forming, leading, and rapidly expanding innovative, new organizations in both private sector and military capacities. Bart brings experience in investment banking, general business management, marketing, and strategy in organizations ranging from large public companies to technology start-ups complemented by his military service in cyber and space operations as a senior officer. 

In his current role, Mr. Gray serves as Co-Founder, Strategy and Development of Enigma Aerospace, a defense tech provider focused on designing and delivering innovative unmanned and autonomous multi mission aerial platforms for contested environments leveraging advanced data analytics.

Previously, Mr. Gray held leadership responsibilities in a series of increasingly more senior and responsible roles in defense and technology companies ranging from early-stage start-ups to large, publicly traded companies. Bart started his career as an investment banker with Lehman Brother’s and UBS’s global technology groups. As a career technology banker, Bart advised on and executed strategic advisory and capital raising transactions for companies focused on data networking, storage, IT services, enterprise software, cyber security, and defense.  Bart has extensive expertise with start-ups developing dual-use technology for both commercial and defense markets.

Prior to investment banking, Bart served as a U.S. Air Force officer assigned within the information operations, space operations, and special technical operations communities. Included were assignments with various U.S. government organizations in positions focused on information warfare, space operations, and cyber warfare.  Bart was also assigned to the Office of the Secretary of War focused on technology scouting, finance, and technology transfer.  At U.S. Cyber Command, Bart formed and directed the prototype Joint Cyber Reserve Element, and originated the Points of Partnership team.  The Points of Partnership team formed the core for the Defense Innovation Unit (DIUx), becoming the nexus between non-traditional technology companies and the Department of War. Bart retired at the rank of Colonel.
