Celebrating Women's History Month

In honor of Women's History Month, TLA is excited to introduce you to three of our amazing women inventors, all accomplished researchers, mentors, teachers, and champions of innovation. Get to know them, find inspiration in their words and share their stories!

Are you interested in learning more about how to maximize the impact of your work at the UArizona through commercialization? In the four-session "Claim Your Seat at the Table" workshop, UArizona women will work with Tech Launch Arizona, ecosystem members, and mentors to learn how to think of themselves as inventors, how to build strong teams, how to find their customers, and how to raise money to achieve their goals

Attend the upcoming Claim Your Seat at the Table series

We sat down with Sadhana Ravishankar, PhD and Associate Professor of the UArizona College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, who is a teacher, mentor, graduate advisor, research supervisor, researcher, consultant, and inventor! Her advice to women is simple: pursue your passion and make sure your invention gets to the marketplace because #WomenMakeItHappen!

#WomenMakeItHappen every day and that means Women’s History doesn’t stop at the end of the month! May Khanna, Assistant Professor of UA College of Medicine Tucson, says it well, “There are no barriers. Just jump in there and do it. There’s nothing to stop you.”

Meet Heidi Mansour, Associate Professor at UA College of Pharmacy, one of the women who’s making a difference every day for women and the world! Her experience, passion, and knowledge shines through in this interview.
