Since TLA started in 2012, we have met or exceeded our goals year over year, and are seeing continued growth in the impact originally envisioned for commercialization at the UA. We did it again in FY2017 thanks to your engagement as inventors, experts, advisors and supporters.

The University of Arizona has licensed a pair of technologies to startup Lunewave, Inc. The company is commercializing the College of Engineering inventions to improve automotive radar systems with inexpensive, high-performing 3D printed Luneburg lenses.

The University of Arizona has licensed a UA-invented small animal cage divider design to startup Helm Technologies. The patented design, which emulates natural burrow-like environments, has been shown to reduce aggression, thus improving animal welfare.

The UA has licensed a tool to integrate student information and learning management systems to startup FishTail Technologies. The software resulted from a collaborative effort between the UA Office of Instruction and Assessment and University Information Technology Services.

Startup Codelucida, cofounded by a UA College of Engineering professor and graduate student, has won a $250,000 Arizona Innovation Challenge grant for spring 2017.
