In October, the Arizona Bioindustry Association, or AZBio, will honor industry leaders from across Arizona. This year, a majority of those to be honored have deep connections to the UA and have created impact through bringing UA ideas and inventions to the marketplace.

The University of Arizona has licensed a pair of technologies to startup Lunewave, Inc. The company is commercializing the College of Engineering inventions to improve automotive radar systems with inexpensive, high-performing 3D printed Luneburg lenses.

The University of Arizona has licensed a UA-invented small animal cage divider design to startup Helm Technologies. The patented design, which emulates natural burrow-like environments, has been shown to reduce aggression, thus improving animal welfare.
