Lewis Humphreys
Lewis Humphreys, MA MSc., originally joined TLA in January of 2013 as the Marketing and Communications Manager but rapidly transitioned into the licensing role. As Senior Software & IT Licensing Manager, Eller College Embed, Lewis advises faculty on copyright, trademark and patent strategies and manages the licensing of University of Arizona intellectual property. Prior to joining Tech Launch Arizona Lewis worked as Director Of Social Media & Community Innovation for an Ann Arbor based think tank focused on re-imagining work and learning, and managed the creation of a web based collaboration portal for Innovation Frontier Arizona. He has worked throughout North America as a management consultant in economic development, social innovation, marketing and change management. He began his management consulting career with Arthur Anderson in Toronto working for large corporate clients implementing enterprise solutions in software, human resources and executive compensation. Lewis obtained an MA from Dalhousie University, and an MSc in Economics from the London School Of Economics. He is the founder and curator of TEDxTucson, the locally organized version of the global TED conferences.
