Tyler McCusker is an accomplished broadcast journalist, media entrepreneur, and adjunct professor with more than 15 years of experience across various industries. He now serves as Commercialization Network Coordinator at Tech Launch Arizona, where he continues to leverage his extensive background in innovation, storytelling, and human connection to advance U of A technology.

As the founder and CEO of Foundwave, an audio-documentary production studio, Tyler has worked to advance the podcast landscape. His work earned him a spot on Podcast Magazine's “40 Under 40” list and the “Distinguished Alumni” award from his alma mater Chapman University.

An entrepreneur himself, Tyler founded 104.7 KX FM, Laguna Beach’s pioneering FM radio station, which he ran for more than a decade.

In addition to his media and entrepreneurial pursuits, Tyler is an adjunct professor at the U of A School of Journalism. He holds a BFA in multimedia journalism from Chapman University, where he was recognized for his academic excellence and contributions to the tennis team … which has now evolved into competitive pickleball.

Tyler is a Tucson native and lifelong Wildcat fan. He is excited to be raising his family back in his hometown and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.
