Garrett Edmunds

Garrett serves as the Licensing Manager at Tech Launch Arizona for the University of Arizona Health Sciences. Before joining the TLA team, he was a Licensing Manager with FSU Commercialization at Florida State University. In this capacity, Garrett collaborated with faculty members across the university to evaluate new inventions, safeguard intellectual property, promote promising innovations, and facilitate negotiations for licenses and other agreements.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University and a Master’s degree in Chemistry, specializing in carbohydrate synthesis, from Georgia State University. At GSU, Garrett was a Fellow with the Center for Diagnostics and Therapeutics, an interdisciplinary team that worked on facilitating the translation of research discoveries into clinically useful diagnostic and therapeutic agents. Garrett enjoys collaborating with researchers on their groundbreaking projects and devising innovative strategies to bring their work to market. 

In his free time, Garrett likes to play board games, tackle trivia questions, and concoct new ice cream flavors.
