UArizona Bioscience Startups Earn $30K through Flinn Foundation Entrepreneurship Program

March 8, 2021

Botanisol Analytics and Scintillation Nanotechnologies – both founded to commercialize UArizona inventions – have been accepted into the 2021 Flinn Foundation Bioscience Entrepreneurship Program. Each will receive $30,000 in funding through a nonprofit partner, a customized learning plan, and connections with the state’s bioscience leaders in business, research, and policy.

Startup GenetiRate has been acquired by biotechnology company IMV Technologies. GenetiRate was founded on a technology that measures the metabolic rate of aquatic animals, from fish to mollusks to crustaceans, to identify and sort out those that grow more quickly, making it useful for the aquaculture industry.
