Tod McCauley

Assistant Director of Licensing, College of Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences

As the Assistant Director of Licensing for the College of Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences, Tod brings a deep background in intellectual property management and licensing of agricultural technologies as well as experience creating and developing early-stage companies. Prior to joining Tech Launch Arizona, Tod was a founding member and Director of Research for a startup company specializing in molecular diagnostic and therapeutic product development for animal health and clinical applications. He has broad research expertise that includes the identification/characterization of biomarkers, immunological assay development, proteomics, and vaccine production. He holds a B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. Tod trained as an NIH postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Cell Biology at the University of Virginia before joining the faculty at the University of Missouri as Research Assistant Professor and has authored/co-authored approximately 50 peer-reviewed publications in addition to dozens of published proceedings.
