Jay Martin

Jason “Jay” Martin originally joined Tech Launch Arizona as an Intellectual Property (IP) Intern before transitioning into his current role as the Licensing Associate for Software & Copyright. As such Jay advises faculty on copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property strategies while managing the licensing of University of Arizona intellectual property.

Prior to joining TLA, Jay worked as the Director of the Compass Call Program Integration Office for the United States Air Force’s only airborne electronic attack program where he ushered in new electronic warfare capabilities for the Department of Defense and managed a billion-dollar program transition that spanned over 1,000 employees and 5 organizations. He has worked throughout the U.S., and abroad, in various roles spanning from aviation, critical national infrastructure protection, defense industrial base security, and intellectual property protection.

Jay obtained an MS from the University of Oklahoma and has studied Intellectual Property Law at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law.
