Prior to joining TLA, Kaitlyn worked with University of Michigan Office of Technology Transfer as a fellow, developing life sciences-related invention analysis reports. She also has expertise in evaluating startups through her work with the Zell Lurie Commercialization Fund at the Ross School of Business and as a life sciences business consultant. In addition to her background in technology transfer and venture capital, Kaitlyn completed over ten years of practical life sciences research in genetics, genomics, synthetic biology and ruminant nutrition. Kaitlyn has a Ph.D. in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from the University of Michigan, and three bachelor’s degrees in biology, microbiology, and animal science from New Mexico State University.
