Join us for lunch and a discussion with

  • Chris Hessenius, Ph.D., research professor in the College of Optical Sciences and CEO of UA startup TPhotonics, Inc.
  • Amy Phillips, TLA Senior Licensing Manager, College of Optical Sciences

While most lasers produce beams of a single or highly limited range of wavelength, inventors at the UA College of Optical Sciences have developed a novel technology that allows for devices that can produce a beam and tweak its wavelength on-the-fly. The new technology -- which will open up countless opportunities for exploring new applications for lasers -- has been spun up into a new startup company, TPhotonics, Inc.

Lunch will be provided for all who RSVP in advance. This event is for UA faculty, staff and students.
